Allegri's Miserere with the St George's Cathedral Consort

posted 18 Jul 2011, 07:17 by Thomas Friberg   [ updated 18 Jul 2011, 07:37 ]
7:30pm 12 August, St George's Cathedral, Perth, Australia

I will join the St George's Cathedral Consort as a bass with ensemble features in the Miserere verses.

Works include: Frank Martin Messe, Gregorio Allegri Miserere and Gioachino Rossini Petite Messe Solennelle for pianos and harmonium.

This delightful feast of choral music features the tranquil beauty of Allegri’s masterpiece, flanked by two pieces of a more robust nature: the famous Petite Messe Solennelle by Rossini, and lesser-known gem, Martin Mass for Double Choir.  Perth's superstar tenor Alexander Lewis, who is now at the Metropolitan Opera in the USA, returns to his home turf to join with conductor Joseph Nolan, the renowned Cathedral Consort, and an array of talented soloists and musicians for this winter offering.

Tickets: $45 Standard, $38 Concession. To book tickets for this event please follow this link to BOCS Ticketing.
