It's that time of year again and with Christmas comes carols. Despite my Christmas starting early at the annual Christ Church Grammar School advent service, the Cathedral provides the finale with five services over the final 3 days of advent. I have recently given notice to our conductor that I will be changing course slightly during the next year with respect to involvement with solo recital and operatic work over choral performances. This means that I will no longer be singing regularly on Sunday mornings after a good four years in the back row.

While I will still continue performing with the Cathedral Consort on a concert by concert basis, my attention will be turned towards a new role at the West Australian Opera, Art Song Perth and further performances by the newly formed Opera Box. These groups alongside a continued managerial role in the Giovanni Consort.

My final two services for the year will feature some small but enjoyable Baritone solos in the Schubert Mass in G (Midnight Mass) and Mozart's Coronation Mass on Christmas morning. Do come and join the choir for these Christmas services which are always brimming with tremendous atmosphere in a packed Cathedral.
