posted 26 May 2011, 08:36 by Thomas Friberg   [ updated 26 May 2011, 10:19 ]

7:30pm 25 June, Sheldonian Theatre, Oxford, England

For this spontaneous concert addition, I will be singing mostly one per part trios and sextets with other soloists as well as joining the Oxford Bach Choir in their concert performance of the Monteverdi Vespers.

From the Oxford Bach Choir website:

After last summer's superb performance of Handel's Dixit Dominus, we are delighted to be rejoining forces with local specialist ensemble Charivari Agréable, this time to perform the beautiful Monteverdi Vespers of 1610. Conducted by our Associate Conductor Timothy Byram-Wigfield and with a superb group of soloists, this will be a truly majestic finale to the choir's current season.

Soloists: Elenor Bowers-Jolley, Miriam Allan (sopranos) Ben Alden, John McMunn (tenors), Thomas Friberg (bass), The Quiristers of Winchester College (Director: Malcolm Archer)

Ensemble: Charivari Agréable

Conducted by: Timothy Byram-Wigfield

Tickets avaliable via Tickets Oxford.
