Returning to Perth

posted 18 Jul 2011, 06:58 by Thomas Friberg
Having spent the last year in London, I returned back home this past Friday with a whole trove of new experiences. After the pre-requisite settling back in to the familiar surroundings of Perth, I have been planning entries to many competitions and eisteddfods around the city and am consolidating performances plans for the second half of this year. Some things to look forward to so far:
  1. Rejoining the St George's Cathedral Choir and Consort for regular services and the concert series, the next performance being of Allegri's Miserere amongst other things.
  2. Working with the Giovanni Consort once again to bring our Bach and Beyond concert to the public in early September.
  3. Competing in the Joondalup Eisteddfod, the North Perth Festival and some RSCM competitions in order to get more solo exposure and experience.
  4. Bass solo work beside the wonderful Katja Webb in early October with the Perth Undergraduate Choral Society.
These are just the events that have been planned from afar and have been confirmed on homecoming. There will be more to come and I hope to add more concerts to my diary now I am back in town. Keep in touch with this announcements feed or the concert diary feed with email alerts so you don't miss a thing.
